An increasing number of tasks in our daily life are managed through embedded nodes: from traffic lights to parking or retail kiosks, intelligent health equipment and distributed power control. MegaRAC XMS provides a unified interface to discover, troubleshoot, service and manage complex distributed networks of embedded devices featuring AMT or IPMI. Administrators will easily access managed nodes and upgrade BIOS firmware, easily set thresholds and alerts, access health monitoring dashboards, optimize power consumption, access event logs and more.
MegaRAC XMS is offered as installable software for Windows and Linux OS based on a plug-in architecture. A base framework provides the management infrastructure, while modular plugins provide specific management features. Extensibility allows AMI to add a vast choice of manageability features to XMS; it also enables OEMs to add value- by creating their own management plugins for XMS. What's more, OEMs can pick and choose the management features that are only needed or used by their target applications, instead of paying a fortune to buy the whole software bundle.
